Get up and running with Dashtray in under 10 minutes

Welcome to Dashtray

Dashtray is an AI-powered unified SaaS analytics dashboard that consolidates metrics from 20+ integrations into one beautiful interface. This guide will help you get started quickly.

Quick Start

1. Create Your Account

   Sign up for a free Starter account at dashtray.com

   • No credit card required
   • 14-day trial for paid tiers
   • Email verification required
2. Connect Your First Integration

   Choose from 20+ integrations across revenue, engineering, growth, and product categories.

   Popular first integrations:

   • Stripe (for revenue metrics)
   • GitHub (for development activity)
   • PostHog (for product analytics)
   • Vercel (for deployment metrics)
3. View Your Dashboard

   Your metrics will appear automatically on the Overview dashboard.

   • Pre-built category dashboards
   • Customizable widgets
   • Real-time data updates
4. Explore AI Insights

   Ask questions about your metrics using Gemini AI (Basic+ tiers).

   Example: “What’s my MRR growth this month?”

Your First 10 Minutes

1. Complete Onboarding

After signing up, you’ll be guided through a quick onboarding flow:

1. Create your project - Give it a name (e.g., “My SaaS App”)
2. Choose your first integration - We recommend starting with your payment processor
3. Configure the integration - Follow the OAuth flow or enter your API key

2. Understand Your Dashboard

The Overview dashboard shows:

• Metric Cards - Key metrics from all connected integrations
• Charts - Time series visualizations of your data
• Bookmarks - Quick links to external tools

Use the time range selector (top right) to view data for different periods: 24h, 7d, 30d, 90d, 1y, or all time.

3. Connect More Integrations

Add more integrations to get a complete picture:

1. Go to Integrations in the sidebar
2. Browse by category or search
3. Click Connect on any integration
4. Follow the authentication flow

Starter tier allows 2 integrations. Upgrade to Basic ($39/mo) for 5 integrations, or **Pro** ($99/mo) for unlimited.

4. Customize Your View

Edit Mode lets you customize your dashboard:

1. Click Edit (top right)
2. Drag widgets to reorder
3. Hide/show widgets
4. Add bookmarks for external links
5. Click Save when done

5. Create Custom Dashboards

Build focused dashboards for specific use cases:

1. Go to Dashboards → Create Dashboard
2. Choose widgets from connected integrations
3. Arrange them using drag-and-drop
4. Save and share with your team (Scale tier)

Data Refresh

Dashtray uses a manual refresh model:

• Click Refresh to update metrics
• Data is fetched from integrations on-demand
• Webhooks provide real-time updates (where supported)

Manual refresh gives you control over when data updates and helps manage API rate limits.

Privacy & Security

Your data is protected:

• Encryption - All credentials encrypted with AES-256-GCM
• OAuth - Secure authentication for supported integrations
• No Training - Your data is never used to train AI models
• Audit Logs - Track all actions (Scale tier)
